Why I am running for this office: My expertise in math, economics, reading, and writing is decades ahead of others. I understand the broad range of challenges our district and students face; and I have a good understanding of the district’s administrative short comings. I am hardworking, honest, a problem solver, a parent of child in the district and more. I am the only candidate that has a track record of closing the achievement gap in reading and math for Native and Non-Native English Language Learners. The current top down authoritative decision making process has caused too much harm to teachers, students and the families in Minneapolis. That needs to end. There needs to be better safeguards in place to make sure that the district's strategic plan is implemented by the administration. You will never regret electing me to the Minneapolis School Board.
