Posted

The American Indian OIC, Indian Health Board, Community Power, and Vote Climate announce a Minneapolis Mayoral Forum hosted by the Native community.

With assistance from the League of Women Voters Minneapolis and the above named partner organizations, Make Voting a Tradition (NACDI) is co-sponsoring a mayoral forum on June 25, 6:30 p.m. at the American Indian OIC (1845 E Franklin Ave., Minneapolis). This forum will include all candidates for Minneapolis Mayor City Council that choose to participate.

The forum is free and open to the public, and it will be live streamed and can be viewed after the event at nacdi.org. All candidates who have filed for these offices have been invited. Candidates will respond to questions on a wide variety of issues of concern to voters and Minneapolis’ Indigenous community. This event is free and open to the public with a food truck from Pow Wow grounds and organizational tables. Voters attending the forum have the opportunity to submit written questions in advance for the candidates (by emailing them to vote@nacdi.org). Audience members also can submit questions in writing at the event.
The hosts and co-sponsors, non-partisan, 501(c)3 organizations, encourage informed and active participation of citizens in government.  No one involved endorses or opposes candidates for office or political parties.
