Students paint pianos for Flint Hills Family Festival

On May 28, 2025, leaders from the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, Flint Hills Resources and Saint Paul Public Schools unveiled 25 public pianos in Rice Park in celebration of 25 years of the Flint Hills Family Festival. The pianos were each uniquely decorated by local schools and organizations, including South High School (above). The pianos were donated by Flint Hills Resources through local nonprofit Keys 4/4 Kids.
